I've had three apps in the store over the past year. The approval time has ranged from 1 day to over three months. What has your experience been? What have you learned?

Apple's stated average of two weeks for acceptance seems to be about right, based on feedback from other developers. Of course there are some things as you saw that can go way long, and they are offset by those day releases...

What kind of learning are you looking for? I don't think there's much to learn, except to test really carefully before you submit since a crash will be a certain rejection.

Also, I have found the review people generally responsive when you have questions about a rejection.

Yeah I agree there's not much to learn. My experience has been pretty straight-forward for the most part. There still seems to be some stuff from iPhone developers about "trouble w/ app store and getting apps approved"... so I wanted to learn about other peoples' experiences w/ this (if any). – gamedev88 Oct 12 at 3:02
